A raidly growing manufacturer is seeking a manufacturing engineering manager to lead their team
Our client is a rapidly growing U.S. based manufacturer that produces leading edge products on a global scale. We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager who has technical engineering skills and the ability to develop and lead a core group of Engineers. This person will diagnose and drive process improvements past the status quo, contributing to the company's goal of continued growth coupled with continuous improvement. This individual will need to use innovative thinking to drive change and must be able to work in a team oriented environment with other Managers while developing and maintaining production standards.
The qualified candidate will be bilingual (English / Spanish) and will posses an Engineering degree with proven experience in Manufacturing Engineering. The manager will have hands on experience in a metal working environment and will be familiar with interpreting production drawings as well as machine shop measurement techniques. This person will be expected to have in-depth knowledge of feeds and speeds for machining steels, machine tools (both manual and CNC) and should have an understanding of the various types of cutting tools and their most optimum applications. This person must have previous experience managing a DNC system and writing CNC programs, designing fixtures for holding parts or directly managing personnel in charge of such tasks.This person should have had exposure to a Lean manufacturing environment and have an understanding of the basic principals of Lean. Previous management experience is a must. This person will provide leadership and guidance to the team to develop the group and maximize its effectiveness.
